It is a great pleasure to announce the forthcoming lecture at Edinburgh Magic Circle by Hayashi. He will be touring the UK after the US leg of his tour and has asked if he could come to lecture at our club.
I would like to extend an invitation to all your club members to join us on Friday 13th Jul. at Edinburgh City Football Club, 7 Baxter Place, Edinburgh EH1 3AF. The Lecture starts at 8pm and entry to the premises is anytime after 7pm.
Tickets are £10 for non EMC members and £5 for members.
Below is a list of Hayashi's awards and achievements:
"I've been quite active in the European magic scene since 2003. I'm primarily a close-up performer, and am currently working on expanding my repertoire to include more stage material. I've had the honour of winning the MacMillan International Magic Competition, the S.A.M. European Championships in Close-Up, and the I.B.M. Cup Germany in Stage Magic as well as the German, French, Austrian, Swiss, and Italian National Championships, all in the category Card Magic. I also placed in the top 5 in Parlor Stage and the top 10 in Close-Up at the 2006 FISM World ChampionshipsMagic is my occassional part-time business. About half of my work as a magical entertainer is as a lecturer and gala show performer at magic conventions. I have performed at the Magic Circle in London, the Magic Castle in Hollywood, the Wizard's Inn in Tokyo, and 4F in upstate New York. In real life, I am a lecturer for the English Department at the University of Mannheim and a business language consultant for various corporations."
